How to use

If needed, adjust the minimum quality and output format. Setting the minimum quality too low can hit the target size but make the image look rough.

FAQ
- Will it match the exact size I enter?
- It aims for "at or below" the target you enter, not an exact match. It steps the quality down and exports the result closest to the target. If it reaches the minimum-quality floor first, the file may end up slightly larger than the target.
- Does it hurt image quality much?
- With a generous target, the size drops with no visible loss. The smaller the target relative to the original, the more compression artifacts can appear, so if quality matters, raise the target a little or increase the minimum-quality value.
- Does it work on PNG too?
- Yes. You can upload PNG as well, and exporting as JPG is more effective for big size reductions. For photographic images that don't need transparency, JPG output is recommended; keep the original format if you need transparency.
- Are my images uploaded to a server?
- No. All compression happens entirely in your browser. Images are never uploaded to a server and disappear from memory the moment you close the page.
