FAQ
- How are transparent backgrounds handled?
- JPG has no alpha channel, so transparent PNG pixels are filled with the background color you choose. The default is white, and you can pick any color with the color picker or a HEX code.
- How low can I set the quality?
- Around 0.8–0.92 is hard for the eye to distinguish. Below 0.7, compression artifacts can become visible, so it's not recommended unless you only need it for social media uploads.
- How much smaller will the file be?
- Photographic, natural images usually shrink by 60–85%. Screenshots or graphics with flat backgrounds can be more efficient as PNG, so check the resulting size before deciding.
